Prejudice and the Pedagogue: Teaching in a Democratic Classroom

by Prof. Siby K. George | 19th June, 2022

Abstract: In this lecture, Prof. Siby argues for the special role of educational institutions in democratic countries for challenging extant prejudices, and the possible ways this can be achieved, or the failures in trying to achieve an ideal democratic classroom. One of the key insights of this lecture is that our failures in instituting democratic spirit need not conclude that all our efforts are in vain.
